Des Moines Springfest Horse Show is hosting a silent auction for the benefit of the Regional Child Protection Center at Blank Childrens Hospital. All proceeds from the auction will be donated directly to Blank Hospital. If you or your company would like to donate an item for this auction please contact Susan Aschenbrenner 515-278-2714 or susanaschenbrenner@hotmail.com If you donate an item valued at $150 or more you will receive a free page of advertising in the horse show program. (Ads must be received by April 1, 2008 to be included in the program) Artwork and jewelry have already been donated. Be sure to shop the auction great fun for a great cause! |

Child and Infant Recovery Program (CAIRE) The Child and Infant Recovery Effort (CAIRE) at Blank Children's Hospital provides services for a number of infants and children exposed to drugs prior to birth. It is the goal of CAIRE to help each child and family to recovery without labeling or judging. Early identification and intervention for children exposed to drugs is the emphasis, so they can live a healthier life. · General physical examinations with a focus on neurological issues and problems such as muscle tone and tremors caused by the effects of drugs on the child's brain. · Developmental screening. · Assessment of need for referral to other special needs services such as speech therapy or psychological evaluations. · Family-centered coordination of in-home services.
