EXHIBITOR INFORMATION

Exhibitors are requested to thoroughly acquaint themselves with the rules of

USEF, as they will be enforced. Any change in the current USEF rule book will

automatically become a part of this premium book. Every entry shall constitute an

agreement that the person making it is subject to the rules and regulations of

USEF. Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and the specifications

of the current USEF rule book, shall be conducted and judged in accordance

therewith. Please be aware of USEF GR1401.30 (Protective Headgear) requirements.

USEF GR1401.29 (Motorized vehicles) on show grounds.

 

ENTRIES

Entries close April 1, 2009, for publication in the horse show program. All exhibitors

are encouraged to make their entries by that date. Entries will be accepted at

the regular rate up to April 14, 2009. After April 14, 2009, post entries will be

accepted at the regular rate plus an additional $10 per class. Entries are to be

made on the official entry form. One owner per entry form. Send copies of registration

papers, amateur cards, and pony measurement cards with entries. All

fees must accompany entry form. Open checks may be established at the show. Mail entries

HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

All horses must have current health papers issued within 30 days of the show.

Out of state horses must have negative Coggins test dated within 12 months of

show.

 

TRANSFERS, SUBSTITUTIONS, REFUNDS

The transfer of a horse and/or rider from one class to another will be allowed as

follows: The show office must be notified prior to the affected classes. Horses

may be switched to another class without penalty. Additional class entries will be

charged a $10.00 post entry fee. In the case of an injury, a veterinarian’s certificate

must be presented and entry fees, minus a $20.00 office charge, will be

refunded. Entries not officially scratched will be subject to a $25.00 fine.

 

STABLING

Stalls are available in the Iowa State Fairgrounds Main Horse Barn and auxiliary

barns. All stalls have doors. Each horse entered is required to have a stall. No

first bedding given. Stalls available at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.

PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO A HORSE SHOW ON PRECEDING DAYS, NO STALLS

WILL BE AVAILABLE PRIOR TO NOON ON TUESDAY, APRIL 21.

PLEASE TIME ARRIVAL ACCORDINGLY.

 

ARENA SPECIFICATIONS

Arena is 170' x 120'; footing sand/dirt mix.

Warm-up area has been relocated NE of the Cattle Barn and has a sand/dirt footing.
