UPHA CLASSICS
All Classics will offer $250 premiums plus entry fees. Classic entry fees are divided into two payments: a Declaration Fee of $50.00 is required with your entry form and the second payment, a Starting Fee of $50.00, is required prior to the start of the session in which the class is held. You may pay the $100.00 with your entry form if you wish. Classic fees are non-refundable in all situations. If March Nomination Fee has not been paid, a $100 Nomination Fee must be paid in addition to the entry fee. Prize money is divided according to the rules set by the UPHA.
UPHA CHALLENGE CUP CLASSES
To be eligible to show in a UPHA Challenge Cup Class, each rider must be a member of the UPHA.
******* TRAINER CASH INCENTIVE PROGRAM *******
The Springfest Horse Show has six performance sessions. The name of the trainer of each entry showing in each session will be entered in a drawing. At the conclusion of each performance, three trainers’ names will be drawn, and each will win $100. A trainer may not win more than once each performance. A new drawing is done each session; names do not carry over from previous sessions. The trainer’s name will be obtained from the entry form. This program provides $1,800 in cash incentives, going directly to the trainers who support our show!

The Des Moines Springfest Horse Show helps support the Child and Infant Recovery Program (CAIRE) The Child and Infant Recovery Effort (CAIRE) at Blank Children's Hospital provides services for a number of infants and children exposed to drugs prior to birth. It is the goal of CAIRE to help each child and family to recovery without labeling or judging. Early identification and intervention for children exposed to drugs is the emphasis, so they can live a healthier life. · General physical examinations with a focus on neurological issues and problems such as muscle tone and tremors caused by the effects of drugs on the child's brain. · Developmental screening. · Assessment of need for referral to other special needs services such as speech therapy or psychological evaluations. Family-centered coordination of in-home services.
